From Bri (and The Hobbit):

It can not be seen, cannot be felt, cannot be heard,

cannot be smelt....

It lies behind stars and under hills, and empty holes it fills,

It comes first and follows after, ends life, kills laughter..

What am I? (answer on Social Studies page)

From Maritza......

What do you call a bear with no teeth?

What does an Astronaut eats, but also finds?

Accelerated Reader Program

Accelerated Reader or AR for short, is a program developed to test student comprehension of the books they read. In an effort to help students comprehend, AR assigns each book a Reading Level and Point Level. Three times throughout the year students are given the S.T.A.R. test. It is an AR companion, in that it test students to see where they are most comfortable reading based on a series of questions which increase in difficulty. A report is printed which tells the teacher the student's recommended reading level.

How Does the Point System Work? Points are assigned to each AR book based on its length and level of difficulty. Students earn points based on their percentage correct on each quiz. Point goals are assigned to each student.

What Kind of Questions Are On the AR Quizzes? AR quizzes challenge students to recall specific details from their reading of the book.
